THE ROLE OF THE REGISTRY STAFF IN PROMOTING GOOD WORKING ENVIRONMENT IN UNIVERSITIES: BENSON IDAHOSA UNIVERSITY AS A FOCAL POINT
Abstract
This paper presents an investigation into the role of staff in promoting good working environment in Universities in Nigeria: Benson Idahosa University (BIU) as a Focal Point. The study specifically sought to assess the extent of the role played by staff in promoting a good working environment in Benson Idahosa University. The focus of this paper is to Appraise the Role Played by University Staff in Promoting Good Working Environment, specifically in Benson Idahosa University in 21st Century which were brought to the fore while the objectives of the study were well spelt out. Hypotheses were postulated and the Group Theory was used to explicate the works. Data were obtained from both primary and secondary sources. From the primary sources, the survey method, that is, the use of questionnaire were designed and adopted. Data obtained from this method were analyzed with the simple percentage. The paper concludes by advocating the role played by Staff in University, especially in Benson Idahosa University cannot be over-emphasized in the democratic process, among others, as ways of being more relevant in democratic process. This paper discovered that this malaise was responsible for the failing status of the Nigeria State.
