INFLUENCE OF ONLINE LEARNING APPROACHES ON THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF PRIVATE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IN OSUN STATE
Abstract
This paper investigated the influence of online learning approaches on the academic performance of private university students in Osun state, Nigeria. It aimed to identify the various online learning approaches used by students, determine the extent to which these approaches influence their academic performance, and investigate the factors that contribute to this relationship. A questionnaire was used to gather information from two private universities in Osun state, Nigeria. The data was analyzed using a simple percentage statistical tool. The results showed that students in private universities in Osun state, Nigeria, make use of various online learning approaches, such as online tutorials, video lectures, and virtual study groups. The results also showed that online learning approaches have an important positive influence on the academic performance of students in private universities in Osun state, Nigeria. According to the study, factors like the accessibility of online resources and students' enthusiasm to learn positively affect how powerful online learning strategies are. The research offered insightful information about how private university students in Osun state, Nigeria, performed academically and made suggestions for methods to raise the standard of online education in the area.
